Aceste haine erau o combinatie intre Ankara si batik.

In categoria masculina, David era un pic in fata celorlalti concurenti insa in categoria feminina toate fetele erau cam la acelasi nivel.

A Model Contest and the One Lagos Food Festival

October has been a very exciting month in the entertainment industry in the country.

First, was the Aquafina Elite Model Contest. Davidson Obennebo and Omoh Momoh may not have known their lives would be turned around when they decided to be part of the competition. But at the grand finale held last Saturday 16th, in Lagos, the duo beat 18 others to emerge the winners in the male and female categories of the competition respectively.

The event was really a clash of the titans as virtually all the contestants looked like would-be winners. The contest kicked off with the “Meet the contestants” segment, which was their first appearance and the contestants had opportunity to showcase all they had been taught in the Booth Camp by modelling Kamsi Tcharles’ casual wear made up of a combination of Ankara and batik.

After the swimsuit, evening wear, corporate wear and designer wear segments, the contestants were pruned down to five in each category. In the male category, David was slightly ahead of his fellow contestants going by the gait and confidence he exuded. But in the female category, all the girls were stunners.

However, only one person in each category would be the winner and finally, the Head of Marketing, Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc, Mr. Norden Thurston, announced Davidson and Omoh winners in the male and female categories respectively based on the scoring of the judges made up of Richard Mofe Damijo, Bola Balogun, Funke Babs Kuforiji and Norden Thurston.

The winners became instant millionaires as each of them was presented with a cheque of N1m from Aquafina premium drinking water, makers of Pepsi. They will also represent Nigeria at the Elite Model Look international contest taking place in Portugal later in the year.

Davidson Obennebo, a 400 level Economics student of Bells University, Ota, Ogun State said he was excited winning the Aquafina Elite model contest.

Miss Omoh Momoh one of the youngest on the Aquafina Elite Model Look runway said she hopes to make a great career out of modelling as that has always been her passion.

Meanwhile, soulful singer, Aituaje Iruobe, popularly known as Waje, was among notable entertainers that thrilled guests at the maiden edition of the One Lagos Food Festival tagged ‘Flavours of Lagos’.

The two-day event staged at the Bar Beach, Victoria Island, earlier in the first week of October, attracted people from all parts of Lagos and beyond and they were entertained by other established stars like Vector, Olu Maintain and Dede Mabiaku.

The food fiesta, put together by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in partnership with a host of small businesses and corporate organisations, was aimed at showcasing the diversity of Nigerian cuisine and delicacies as part of a wider plan to boost tourism in the state.

Entertainment and food are often an integral part of tourism, and Lagos being the number one destination in Nigeria for hospitality may well be the best location for such a fiesta.
